Es muy frecuente en nuestra consulta atender pacientes a los que despues de una cirugía en la que se les ha puesto una prótesis de cadera o rodilla tengan dolor lumbar. Debutan con dolor crónico en la espalda, tienen cojera o inestabilidad.

El caso es que en el procedimiento quirúrgico al colocar una prótesis es muy complicado por no decir imposible predecir la cantidad de hueso que se va a generar o absorver. De tal modo que al final la alineación y la longitud de las piernas es un poco diferente a antes de la cirugía. Hay pacientes que estos cambios los toleran muy mal, bien por la edad, por el peso o por otros factores condicionantes.

Por eso es muy importante volver a realizar un equilibrado y paralelo del aparato locomotor exactamente igual que cuando se ponen ruedas nuevas a un coche. En el caso de los humanos debemos realizar una exploración biomecánica y una tratamiento adecuado para que el organismo no acuse de forma tan drástica esos cambios.

En esta exploración biomecánica realizaremos una medición exhaustiva de la longitud de las piernas con diferentes metodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Medición clínica en descarga, prueba de ALLIS, medición clínica en carga, método indirecto, medición de báscula pélvico, medición de carga en cada pierna, medición por sistema informatico óptico de la postura ….

Una vez realizada la exploración podemos realizar un tratamiento adecuado para que la marcha del individuo vuelva a ser todo lo mas simetrica y fluida posible disminuyendo notablemente la sintomatología.
