Muchas veces encontramos un exceso de pronación en el paciente con un antecedente traumático que ha cursado con inflamación y este exceso de inflamación tiende a rellenar el espacio libre. Uno de estos espacios es el seno del tarso, un canal que existe entre el calcáneo y el astrágalo cuando el pie se encuentra en posición neutra o supinación, pero este espacio se cierra cuando el pie se prona y esto es lo que provoca la sintomatología dolorosa cuando nuestros pacientes tienen los pies pronados.

Es muy importante restaurar la mecánica del pie con una ortesis adecuada para disminuir la compresión en el seno de tarso y eliminar el dolor producido por este síndrome.
